In-memory events are a fantastic way for your supporters to remember their loved ones, and they offer you a unique opportunity to engage with your supporters at the same time.
Our events module allows supporters to create both fundraising and memorial events on their tribute pages, a service unique to MuchLoved. This means your supporters can use their MuchLoved page to co-ordinate memorial events with family, for example memory walks, or a celebration of life event, and connect through our pages. They can also then organise fundraising events in the same way, anything from a crafting or baking event to a family skydiving day.
This means our events are not only a great way to connect with bereaved supporters who are actively fundraising for you, but also they also allow you to connect with supporters who aren't quite ready to take on fundraising, so you can nurture the relationship and build long-term connections.
There is often a relationship between in-memory giving and legacy giving, so cultivating supporters in this way can be the start of an important pipeline. Tribute pages with events are also often those that raise the most funds, and there are a wide range of event types with pre-loaded images to help you set them up quickly and easily - the video below shows just a few of the possibilities.
As a charity, you can also organise events through our platform, and then share them directly to your supporters using MuchLoved pages. So for example, if you were organising a memory walk yourselves, you could upload this to the Events section in your partner area, and it would appear for your supporters on their tribute pages, so they can join the event. You can either specify an event on a particular date for supporters to join, or you can create an event to use as a template, that supporters can then organise themselves, all linking back to your charity.
