Our most recent enhancements will benefit MuchLoved tribute owners as well as our charity partners.
Tribute owners frequently ask us if their donations have been transferred to their chosen charity. They can now check the payment status at any time using the simple icons on their My Donations page. These show whether each donation has been paid, when it was paid, or whether payment is pending or not applicable (for an offline donation).
We’ve also added some text to remind tribute owners that payments to charities are made around the 15th of the month after the donation was received.
Contacting tribute owners to thank them – Whilst tribute owners can now see if donations have been paid, we still encourage charities and good causes to thank the tribute owner as we know it means such a lot to bereaved families. Our partners can access contact details for tribute owners through the reports within their Partner Area.
A QR code can be scanned on any mobile device with a camera to take the visitor directly to a tribute page, making sharing easy. QR codes are straight forward to download and have many uses. For example, they can be printed on the back of an Order of Service or memorial brochure, and they can be used to promote in-memory events, added to stickers, books, slides, videos and much more.
Tribute owners can download the QR code from their Privacy & Sharing settings. They will also have a link to download the QR code in the email they receive when they create a tribute. They can then go ahead and add the QR code to anything they print or display.
If the URL changes, does the QR code update and work for the new URL? Yes, that is why it’s important to use our QR codes and not create one from QR code generators online.
Optimum Charity Partners can now download QR codes from their Partner Area for all tributes that are fundraising for them, including those created by funeral directors and families.
Many of our users access tribute pages on their mobile. Tribute owners and families can carry memories of their loved ones with them wherever they go. Funeral attendees can make a donation straight after the service. And friends and family can post a thought or light a candle anytime, anywhere.
We have improved how MuchLoved tributes appear on mobile devices, so visitors get a great view whatever device they are using.
In line with best practice for mobile design, the header is now fixed so it remains in place as you scroll, and the three-line menu has moved into the header. It’s now easier to return to the home page either by clicking on Home in the menu or clicking on the header banner.
